Ahmad Nayfeh

I studied Electrical Engineering at KFUPM, where I learned to think in systems: inputs, constraints, failure modes. My Master's work took that mindset into AI, from self-supervised learning to medical image synthesis.

In January 2026 I joined Alfanar's Secondary Switchgear Factory as an electrical design engineer. I take customer orders from the first schematic, through customer approval, to a complete production release, and I stay the design contact for QC, testing, and production until the unit ships. The job also showed me how much engineering time goes into checking documents against each other, so I started turning those checks into repeatable, AI-assisted workflows and shared them with my colleagues.

In parallel I build products end to end. Shadhra, an Arabic-first app for saving and revisiting quotes from books, runs on a FastAPI backend with web and Android clients. Khatwa turns daily walking into a game. Both taught me what a portfolio project never does: real users, releases, and maintenance.

My goal is simple: be the engineer who understands the domain deeply and can also build the software it is missing.
